Rural Family Medicine

Patricia “Patty” Davis serves as the Rural Family Medicine Coordinator for the ECU Rural Family Medicine Residency Program – Duplin site, where she supports residents, faculty, and the many moving pieces that make rural graduate medical education possible. Working in rural GME has given Patty a firsthand appreciation for both the challenges and the incredible impact of training physicians in the communities that need them most.

Patty brings that same commitment to her role as Board Member for Advocacy & Outreach with GME Compass. She is passionate about creating meaningful opportunities for GME professionals to serve others, strengthening connections between programs and their communities, and supporting initiatives that make a tangible difference. She believes some of the most valuable work happens when people are given the opportunity to come together, share resources, and use their collective strengths to support a greater purpose.

She looks forward to helping GME Compass expand its outreach, develop partnerships, and create opportunities for members to give back both within graduate medical education and beyond.

Outside of GME, Patty is a wife and mom of four who enjoys the beach, concerts, spending time with her family, and embracing the organized chaos that comes with a very busy household
