Hamilton Medical Center
Family Medicine

Kandice Collins, C-TAGME, is the Program Coordinator at the Hamilton Medical Center Family Medicine Residency Program in Dalton, GA. Over the course of her decade-plus career in Graduate Medical Education (GME), she has held progressive roles of responsibility at both university- and community-affiliated programs, developing a special expertise in rural residency program needs.

Driven by a people-first belief, Kandice leads by nurturing relationships to unlock individual potential. She echoes Robert K. Greenleaf’s servant leadership philosophy that true leadership is measured by whether those served grow healthier, wiser, freer, and more likely to serve others themselves.

In addition to her past institutional leadership roles, including service on a Program Coordinator Advisory Council, she is actively involved with the Association of Family Medicine Administrators (AFMA), serving on both the Mentorship and Webinar Committees. Some of the service roles closest to her heart have been her involvement in various ministry capacities, as well as serving on the Board of the Chamber of Commerce in her hometown of historic Selma, Alabama. These experiences reflect her commitment to mentorship, community, service, and strengthening the people and organizations around her.

Kandice holds an AA degree in Intercultural Studies and a BA in Interdisciplinary Studies with focuses in Healthcare Management and Psychology. Committed to lifelong learning, she is currently pursuing her MA in Organizational Leadership.

When she isn't working, Kandice is usually busy with her large family at a ball field or enjoying a short weekend getaway, with Dollywood being a personal favorite. She and Joey, her husband of 14 years, have five children ranging in age from 3 to 11, and they love living life together to the fullest. An avid chocolate enthusiast, Kandice has a knack for finding the best local chocolate shop in any town—a skill she considers essential, as she firmly believes that quality chocolate can brighten anyone's day.
